Outline
This chapter describes the troubleshooting for Kebab L system.
1
Problems can be roughly classified into those that relate to the Kebab L system itself, those that relate to the printer
itself and those that involve the connection between the printer and the host computer.

Checking Procedures
This section describes troubleshooting procedures for the problems for which error messages are displayed.
2
Printer / Kebab system firmware trouble
2:Initial action
Refer to the error message, and judge whether the trouble lies on the host computer side, on the printer side or on
the Kebab L system side.
Has any of the interface conditions (printer model setting, command, communication conditions, etc.) been
changed?
3
Does the trouble occur under specific conditions?
4
3:Failure on the printer side
Refer to Maintenance manual for the printer, and take steps to repair the printer.
6
Reinstalling of firmware
Replace the defective part (sensor, etc.) or make the necessary adjustment.
7
5:Repair at the factory
If the error recurs even after the corrective measures specified here are taken, return the printer to the factory of
MIMAKI for repair.
Outline
Error messages caused by Kebab system are shown below.
When any error message other than those below occurs, refer to the maintenance manual for the printer body.

WORK ORIGIN MARK formed. 2. Change the work.
* If a work has irregularities or patterns on its surface,
the cause is highly likely to be misidentification of the
origin mark.
3. Check for intense light beams shining on the origin
mark sensor unit. If they are present, change the direc- 2
tion of the illumination.
4. Perform cleaning the Origin mark sensor.
5. Confirm the connector of the OPT control IF + AD
cable or Kebab control + AD cable.
6. Replace the cable.
7. Replace the origin mark sensor. Refer to ( 3.2.1)
3
When any SYSTEM HALT occurs, refer to the maintenance manual for the printer body.
