ABSTRACT
This research investigates the influence of air pollution regulations on urban respiratory health,
focusing on Cordova, Cebu as a case study. The study examines whether the implementation of
air pollution regulations leads to improved respiratory well-being in the local population. By
analyzing air quality data and health indicators before and after the enforcement of stricter
regulations, this study assesses the potential impact on residents' health. The research employs a
combination of quantitative analysis of air quality metrics and qualitative interviews with local
inhabitants and healthcare professionals. The findings suggest a positive connection between
the implementation of air pollution regulations and enhanced urban respiratory health.
Increased awareness and improved air quality are evident outcomes. These findings emphasize
benefits. This study contributes to our understanding of how environmental policies can affect
public health, underscoring the need for collaborative efforts to mitigate air pollution's impact
on respiratory health.
