SHURA [ CONSULTATION] IN ISLAM

Ans:- a) Requesting community members opinions on a case.

2) Describe the concept of Shura.
Ans:- Shura means asking opinion by leaders to express different
opinions of members in order to reach the best opinion. The person asking for
consultation reviews all opinions and chooses the nearest to what is right in
order to realize the best result.
3 ) Why did Allah command Prophet [PBUH] to conduct shura or
consultation.?
Ans:- Respect and appreciation and to teach them what is in the consultation
of credit followed by his nation after him . To teach Sahabah especially and
generally all Muslims.
4) What are the domains of Shura?
Ans:- Shurah comprises all domains of life - economic, political and social
domains . It also comprises public and private interest.
5) What is your opinion on the following?
A) A woman consult a doctor during pregnancy
Ans:- It is correct to consult with the experienced scientist or doctors.
B) Ahmed consults his friend on performing Asr prayer
Ans:- Shurah is not a topic in which there is a command from the qurán and
Sunnah.
C) Someone consult communication websites on an emotional problem.
Ans:- It is right to consult the people of experience and knowledge who trust
them.
6) What form of shura exist in UAE?
Ans:- The federal national council in the UAE .[FNC council]
7) Form a view of whether or not the following cases represent shura and
mention the reasons.
(I) A specialist conduct a procedural research on the difficulties of
learning in the school. ; he meets with the administration and
students of the school and records their views.
Ans:- NO , It does not represent shura because it is specialized
systematics, scientific and looking with the subject concerned.
(II) A university student prepares a questionnaire on school laboratories
and distribute it to students and teachers to respond to it.
Ans:- Shura , scientific and systematic research with the subject concerned
(III) The minister of education asks the teachers and parents of students

the Ministry.
Ans:- Yes, There is shura, asking the opinion of specialist on a particular
subject to reach the best.

expressed opinions and ideas.

c) Establishing a culture of constructive dialogue in society. Unifying the
energies and efforts of the members of society, thus raising the level of
performance and achievement in this society.

Ans:- There is a chance of falling in error , wasting energies , wasting time

Ans:- Due to selfishness and hatred his skills can’t be improved.
