Japan spikes through Russia’s defense as they won in a 3-2 match beating the defending champions.

Japan Men’s Volleyball Team stormed the court as they headed the first set in a 28-26 score versus their
opponent Russia.

On the other hand, this ignited the ball burning in Russia’s hands which is the reason why they are eager
to grasp the scores in the second set. This leads to them winning the second set in a score 28-26,
showcasing that they are called champions for a reason.

Team Russia, consistently invaded Japan’s defense as they claim their 3rd set with a score of 25-20
which was ended with the number 4, Issei Otake’s service error.

Japan Men’s National Team reclaim their victory as they won the 4th set with 25-21 score and 5th set
with a 16-14 score, all in favor of them against the defending champions. This has then secured their
victory in the said tournament.

“I’m proud of our players, because we came here to gain experience. We came here to fight for every
point and not only look at the result…” said by Philippe Blain, Japan’s head coach.

He further mentioned that they want to take the maximum experience and win the maximum numbers
of matches and enjoy volleyball. This manifested in his team plays as they were able to enjoy and won
against their rival.
