NARUMI (OFF) To tell you the truth… / I wanted to kill
you back then.
HIROTAKA I didn’t realize you were trying to keep it a
secret.
NARUMI (OFF) I’m just glad all my coworkers are nice
people. / Hey, I placed a trap here.
HIROTAKA (OFF) Well I’m sorry. / Okay… I put down
some bait.
NARUMI (DRINK REAX) / Who would have thought
that I’d end up in the same company as you?
/ But if they ever find out I’m a nerd, then
I’m telling them about you too!

“Hey everyone! Hirotaka is a gamer with no

life! What a loser!” / Alright, quest complete!
HIROTAKA I don’t really care, / it’s not like I hide it or
anything. / Mind if I smoke?
NARUMI (MNS) Please don’t~
HIROTAKA That’s too bad~
NARUMI (OFF) I think you’d better hide it though. /

HIROTAKA (BREATHE REAX) / Well, I don’t really want
to be popular.

HIROTAKA (MNS) No, I don’t have one.
NARUMI (MNS) See, I thought so! / You’re a nerd,
and more importantly, you aren’t exactly
friendly!
HIROTAKA (BREATHE REAX) / And how about you? /
How are you and your boyfriend doing?
NARUMI Oh what? / Which boyfriend are you talking
about? / I haven’t been with anybody for a
long time already! (INHL) / And besides, that
 guy I was dating back at my old company? /
(DRINK REAX)
HIROTAKA (OVLP) Hmm?
NARUMI (OVLP GRUNT) / (MNS) The guy dumped me
right before our first anniversary, because
everyone in our office found out that I was a
nerd! (FRUSTRATED REAX)

He told me he couldn’t be attracted to a

nerd. / It hurt just to see him every day, so I
decided to leave the company!
HIROTAKA (BREATHE) / Have a drink. / If you had the
nerve to quit just because some guy dumped
you back then, / then you can do anything.
NARUMI (MNS) And that’s why… / next time… / I’m
gonna hide the fact I’m a nerd from my next
boyfriend, no matter what! / And no one’s
gonna stop me!
HIROTAKA (SIGH) / Why don’t you just find someone
who can accept that you’re a nerd instead?
NARUMI (MNS) Come on, you know that’s no good! /
If he accepts that, that means he’s a nerd

hypocritical?
BARTENDER (M) Three draft beers! Thank you for waiting!

NARUMI (OVLP) Hmm…
HIROTAKA (OVLP) So I guess playing dating games is
good enough for me. / (SURPRISED REAX) /

back then.
