CONSTRUCTION MANAGEMENT
My name is Irena Aliva N I will talk about the civil contribution of
construction management in Bengkulu, I think construction management in
Bengkulu is related to project delays. Civil management is a very important term
in engineering. This term is something that civil engineers must learn. This is due
to the success of a project which also requires good management.

The main objective of construction management is to manage or regulate

the implementation of development in such a way that results are obtained in
accordance with the requirements (specifications). To be able to achieve this goal,
it is also necessary to pay attention to the quality of the building, the costs used
and the implementation time.

Construction project delays can be caused either by the estimated time

reuired to complete the project at the planning stage, or various possibilities, for
example due to inappropriate management, materials, labor, equipment, finance
and environmental problems.

Several factors causing project delays came from the contractor, owner,
and other than both parties. With the high number of work accidents in Indonesia,
even thoughout the world, innovation and new approaches are needed in an effort
to reduce the number of work accidents in the construction sector.

So one of the efforts that can be done is to ensure that prospective civil
engineering graduates, have a sufficient understanding of K3 before they complete
their education and then work in the construction sector.
