Effect Analysis

(Add the anti slip pad)

For now we are using plastic based type PVC. We could probably adding some
material in order to improve the friction of the basement of our product. After we
study, the most suitable solution is adding anti slip pad at the based of tube cap to
increase the friction. The material for the anti slip pad is a synthetic rubber. Synthetic
rubber is usually derived from additional polymers of polyene monomers and, unless
the synthetic rubber is disclosed as a polysulfide rubber, laminates containing such a
layer will be classified with additional polymers.

A elastomer is a material with the mechanical property that it can undergo much
more elastic deformation, undergo much more elastic deformation under stress than
most materials and still return to its previous size without permanent deformation.
Synthetic rubber serves as a substitute for natural rubber in many cases, especially
when improved material properties are required. The best type of synthetic rubber to
be choose is SBR (Styrene Butadiene Rubber).

Styrene-Butadiene rubber (SBR or Styrene-butadiene) is a synthetic rubber

comprising of styrene and butadiene monomers. The random copolymer has
characteristics like natural rubber and contains:

 Styrene content in the range of 10-25% contributing to good wearing and bonding
characteristics.

 While the butadiene unit is composed approximately 60 to 70% trans-1,4; 15 to

20% cis-1,4; and 15 to 20% 1,2 configurations for the polymer at 50°C.
Key benefit of SBR

1. Abrasion resistance
2. Perfect impact Strength
3. Good Resilience
4. High tensile strength
