COVER LETTER FOR THE POSITION OF PROFESSOR

I hereby express my interest in the Professorial position in the Department
of Computer Science, Faculty of Science at your esteemed University.

I have a Bachelor of Technology (B. Tech) degree in Computer Engineering

from Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, Ogbomoso, Nigeria; a
Master of Science (M.Sc.) degree in Electronic and Computer Engineering
from the Lagos State University, Ojo, Lagos, Nigeria, and a Doctor of
Philosophy (PhD) Degree in Computer Science and Engineering (Computer
Security) from Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, Ogbomoso,
Nigeria.

I have also had tremendous administrative and management experience in

commencing, sustaining and developing sustainable frameworks for a
world-class department for the training of the next generations of critical
and competent Computer Engineers as well as Information and
Communication Technologists. While at the Bells University of Technology,
Ota, Nigeria, I had the honour to train and mentor Gold and Silver Medalists
in an International Collegiate Programming Contest/American Computer
Machinery (ICPC/ACM) among others. At my current workplace, I also have
the honour to lead and accredit the Department of Computer Engineering
for the National Universities Commission (NUC) and Council for the
Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria (COREN) in the first instance as well
as Chief Examiner for First, Second and Third degrees in the same
department. I am a resource person for the Council for the Regulation of
Engineering in Nigeria (COREN) in accrediting the Computer Engineering
programme in Nigerian Universities.

Presently, I am a Full Professor of Computer Engineering at the Federal

University of Technology, Minna. I teach in the departments of Computer
Engineering, Computer Science and Cyber Security Science. My career
ambition had always been to give back to society, which has been
graciously good to me, through research and teaching. This was my primary
motivation for obtaining a PhD degree. I believe that I can bring an unusual
mix of leadership as well as Management experience with a sound academic
background to your highly esteemed University to build researchers and
academics that will take our continent to the next level.
