3.COUPLER DEVICES

3.1. coupler movement exceeds the prescribed limit

 5th wheel lever and jaw pin are in locked position

 Jaws are locked around king pin (center)
 No gap between 5th wheel and trailer (Right side)
 Truck forward
 Secure the vehicle - Yellow out and red in
 Mark in the apron plate above the pivot pin.
 Truck reverse
 Secure the vehicle - Yellow out and red in
 Mark in the apron plate above the pivot pin.
 Measure the distance
 Coupler movement is 4 mm which is good less than 13mm.

3.2. locking mechanism

 5th wheel lever and jaw pin are in locked position

 Perform 2 tug tests
 Tug test is successful that means locking mechanism is working
