Full-Wave Rectifiers.

1. What is a rectifier?
A rectifier is an electrical device that converts alternating current to direct current by
using one or more P-N junction diodes. A diode is a one-way valve that only allows
current to travel in one direction. The process is known as a correction. Rectifiers
include solid-state diodes, vacuum tube diodes, mercury-arc valves, silicon-controlled
rectifiers, and a wide range of additional silicon-based semiconductor switches.
