Learning Area 2: Identifying the Problem and Asking the Question

Activity 2: Developing a Conceptual Framework

1.List the variables involved in your research.

-Inability to pay attention

- Student’s concentration

-Physical setup of the classroom

-Student’s engagement

-Study habits

-Teaching methods

2.Design the framework that would best fit your research. Use the right components, such as
boxes, arrows, and lines. Make sure that your conceptual framework can visually explain the
direction of your research.

3.Finalize your conceptual framework followed by a narrative.

Student’ s learning concentration and environment will serve as dependent variable and the
other variables that connect to it would become the independent variable it is manipulated to
observe its effect on student’s learning concentration and environment. I selected these variables
to serve as the conceptual framework of the study because, I believe they will play a crucial role
in providing more comprehensive understanding of how the different variables of the learning
environment interact and impact students' ability to concentrate and learn effectively with their
environment and will also give a thorough understanding. The learning concentration of a
student would likely to have negative or positive impact, and the academic performance would
as well have the same impact together with the concentration and their environment. For
example, we may look at the inability to pay attention of the student’s and that physical factors
such as room temperature, lighting, and noise levels impact students' ability to pay attention in
class, or how teaching methods impact students' ability to stay concentrated during class this
means that these factors may affect to their concentration and their learning environment. Both
independent and dependent variable of the conceptual framework will provide in having a clear
understanding in determining relationships that will serve as a guide for the data collection and
analysis process, ensuring that all pertinent data is gathered and analyzed methodically.
