Motivation Letter

INTRODUCTION:

My name is Sayed Jawad Sepehri, and I am from Afghanistan. In fact, I am a socially active person
with friendly nature, a good communication indeed who is blessed with many friends. I keep a
keen view of the reality of life thus approach people with a positive mind and attitude and always
prove to be helpful with honest efforts and true dedication. Besides that, I always feel very joyous
and fortunate to meet and greet people belonging to different backgrounds and cultures. As such
meetings are always important because they prove to be beneficial in future, also it makes things
easy to cope whether one works or studies in his own country or outside the country.

HIGHEST ACADEMIC BACKGROUND:

I have completed my undergraduate studies in Railway Engineering Department, Transportation
Engineering Faculty at Kabul Polytechnic University in 2019 with a CGPA of 2.96 out of 4.00.
After graduation, I attended several short and long-term courses about Railway and Transportation
engineering, Management and civil Relations and Leadership from different organizations. this
courses gave me an indebted knowledge about Civil or Transportation engineering (planning and
management) particularly in railway engineering
WORK:
During university and after graduation, I worked in several sectors including teaching, surveyor,
and as an AutoCAD Drafter in Construction companies. Boldly in April 2020, I started working
with Afghanistan Railway Authority (ARA) as Route and Machines Maintenance Engineer. I
managed more than 20 employees to ensure the quality and reliability of maintenance issues in
ARA’s Balkh Province Railway Branch (Hairatan and Naib Abad railway Stations). I had decided
and planned to get my master's degree in Civil or Transportation engineering (planning and
management) particularly in railway engineering in order to manage better the railway transport in
my homeland.
As my country come being where the neighboring railway network developed and Afghanistan
remained as missing link or a black hole in the regional railway network, lack of railway
knowledge and expert engineers in different fields always put this country back warded.

WHY DO I CHOOSE TO STUDY IN SOLVAKIA?

I always want to study abroad, because I believe it will offer me great challenges and gives me
many experiences. I choose the People’s Republic of Slovakia for some reasons, now the question
arises, “Why Slovakia?” Reading the books, watching the news, analyzing and observing the
people of Slovakia, I am really impressed by the way these individuals have proved themselves to
be dedicated to their work, and with true efforts, they have set Slovakia as a successful example for
other third world or developed countries. The fast growing economy, technological advancement,
and the global ranking education institute of Slovakia with a high reputation makes a great
aspiration to the students and professionals for better career perspectives. Thus, such kind of
positivity has boosted my confidence further and I am highly satisfied with the decision I have
taken. Moreover, Slovakian’s diverse cultural norms and values, the famous gentle hospitality of its
people, and Afghanistan-Slovakia all-weather friendly relations since past to promote bilateral
trade, acceptance, and peace to both sides in great clarity make me feel Slovakia as my second
homeland also my family fully supports my choice for Slovakian being my preference for graduate
studies. All these reasons put together to make Slovakian an ideal place for me to do my Master's
degree in Civil or Transportation engineering (planning and management). Concluding it, with high
hopes I believe this application will receive your favorable consideration and I will be happy to

 DETAILED STUDY PLAN:
I want to continue my master's degree in Civil and Transportation engineering at Slovaks
universities. Throughout these two years, my study and research will be in the field of
Transportation and Engineering. I consider the time arrangement of the MS Management and
Engineering program is listed as follow.

In the first year I would like to put most of my effort to my studies and skills in classes and I will
study my major courses on deferent aspect of program. I will respect and follow the rules and
regulations of the university, and will concentrate on my studies and researches, and will follow the
study programs made by the University.

Second year I will join a research group and do some important research. I will then finish my
graduate research proposal under the instruction of my research advisor. After this, I will focus on
my graduate dissertation and degree defense. I will go back to Afghanistan as soon as I finish my
graduate study program.

 MY PLAN AFTER GRADUATION:

After graduation, I plan to continue my job as an expert engineer at Afghanistan Railway
Authority, then looking for jobs at the national level. Specifically, in northern parts, where the
construction of the further railway is started. Managing such operations needs more knowledge in
management, and therefore, my master's degree in Management and engineering would make me
more compatible for such a job. Moreover, besides that, I would look for jobs of teaching in
Afghanistan Universities or institutes to share my knowledge that I gained from Slovakia with my
colleagues. In that way, my knowledge that I got through my master's degree would have a broader
impact on Afghanistan's transportation systems, specifically, railway, which have lack of
professional and skillful Engineers in Transportation field in Afghanistan.

In the last I hereby affirm that

· During my stay in Slovakia, I will abide by the laws and decrees of the Slovakian government,
and will not participate in any activities, which are deemed to the social order in Slovakia and
inappropriate to the capacity as scholar or student.
· During my stay in Slovakia, I will observe the rules and regulations of the university, and will
concentrate on my studies and researches, I believe in my commitment and you can count on me.
