LUCIANO MILLAN NATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL

Chapter 1

achieve your goals more efficiently and effectively.

Statement of the Problem

This research is being conducted to find out the “Impact of time management on the
students of Luciano Millan National High School (LMNHS)” and how are they managing to
complete their task for the day, by this we can determine:
1. How much time do students need to get ready for school?
2. How long will it take them to travel from their home to the school?
3. How long does it take them to complete a task?
4. Does time managemnet have a positive effect on the daily life of the students?

Hypothesis or Statement of Position

METHODOLOGY
Data Collection
We surveyed 60 pupils from Luciano Millan National High School (LMNHS) as part of
this mini-research. There were 15 respondents chosen for each Junior High School grade
level (grades 7, 8, 9, and 10). Following Ma'am Rea Recaido Angtia's guidance, our math
advisor, a survey questionnaire was handed out and individually retrieved.

The following frequency tables were used to compile the response frequencies for each
question posed:

Table 1A. Time they need to get ready for school

Range Frequency Lower Cumulative
Boundary Frequency
61-80 minutes 14 60.5 60
41-60 Minutes 13 40.5 46
21-40 Minutes 19 20.5 33
1-20 Minutes 14 .5 14

Table 2A. Time they spent to travel from their home to school
Range Frequency Lower Cumulative
Boundary Frequency
61-80 minutes 3 60.5 60
41-60 Minutes 9 40.5 57
21-40 Minutes 6 20.5 48
1-20 Minutes 42 .5 42

Table 3A. Average time they spent on completing a task

Range Frequency Lower Cumulative
Boundary Frequency
61-80 minutes 11 60.5 60
41-60 Minutes 24 40.5 49
21-40 Minutes 16 20.5 25
1-20 Minutes 9 .5 9

Statistical Treatment
Measures of Position, a statistical tool that was recently learned, was used to examine
the data that were acquired for the study.
Use the following formula to obtain the desired result in question 1,2, and 3

Formula for QUARTILE:

Formula for PERCENTILE:

Formula for DECILE:

Finally, in order to answer problem 4, the results obtained from the Position Measures
were further evaluated and studied.
