According to the holy bible, husband and wife have been joined by God through marriage,

which men cannot separate; however, the holy bible only permits divorce based on adultery.
This can explain the reason for the lack of special divorce legislation for Christians. In the
Gospels, Jesus gives instructions forbidding divorce. Despite not wanting to end their
marriages, some Christians end up divorcing. Some couples are still married, but there is no
longer any connection between them. As God spoke through the prophets, he stressed three
points:

1. The institution of marriage is holy

2. Divorce is an evil act that God hates.
3. The purpose of marriage is to produce morally upright children, referring to Malachi 2:13–
16
4. For God to renew the love in your marriage by helping you and your spouse communicate
more effectively. Your prayers should also include forgiveness and tolerance. Whenever
possible, please resist the urge to yell at your spouse or act in ways that might alienate them.
After exchanging harsh words, restoration can be more challenging, even under the most
hostile conditions.
In the early centuries of the Christian era, Christians invaded and colonized India. The East
India Company established India's government and courts. 1With the establishment of the
Supreme Courts, the Common Law of England was made relevant to India on numerous
topics, including marriage and divorce. Nonetheless, it was founded on equity, justice, and
morality principles.
Currently, divorces involving Christian spouses are governed by the Indian Divorce
Amendment Act, 2001. As a result of the Indian Divorce Act 1869, Christian divorce
legislation was changed, and select courts were granted jurisdiction over marriage cases.
Section 7 of the Act 2explicitly addresses the Court's standards and guidelines for divorce
proceedings.
