INTRODUCTION
Wireless power transmission , the concept of which was realized
by the revered scientist and inventor Nikola Tesla. Wireless
power transmission can make remarkable changes by
eliminating the use of conventional copper wires for carrying
current. Based on this concept a Tesla coil is made for a small
range. Wireless power transfer will drastically reduce the power
loss almost by 26% , as most of it is lost while transmission
through the wires facing the wire resistance. Wireless power
transmission uses electromagnetic induction method for
transmission. This is reliable , fast, low maintenance required
and this also reduces the risk of electric shock as the electric
source and the load are galvanically isolated .
We need to shift to wireless power transmission as it saves
much of our valuable non renewable energy on which we
primarily depend on. Wireless power transmission has diverse
applications with it’s own benefits. It is highly advantageous to
be used and in certain cases is poised to play a vital role in the
worldwide drive to electrify transportation. Thus it is ubiquitous
throughout technologically advanced future societies.
Thus wireless power transmission although an old concept but
now it is surely taking it’s turn in the advancement and
development of modern technology
THEORY
RESISTOR :
A resistor is a passive two-terminal electrical component that
implements electrical resistance as a circuit element. Resistors
act to reduce current flow, and, at the same time, act to lower
voltage levels within circuits. In electronic circuits resistors are
used to limit current flow, to adjust signal levels, bias active
elements, terminate transmission lines among other uses. High-
power resistors that can dissipate many watts of electrical power
as heat may be used as part of motor controls, in power
distribution systems, or as test roads for generators.
TRANSISTORS:
It is a semiconductor device used to switch electronic signal
into electric power. It is composed of semiconductor material
with at least 3 terminals for conductance of external circuits.
BATTERY:
An electric battery is a device consisting of two or more
electrochemical cells that convert stored chemical energy into
electrical energy. Each cell contains a positive terminal, or
cathode, and a negative terminal, or anode. Electrolytes allow
ions to move between the electrodes and terminals, which
allows current to flow out of the battery to perform work.
COPPER WIRE :
Copper wire is a single electrical conductor made up of copper.
It is ideal for being used for power transmission, power
distribution, telecommunication and most of the electric
equipments . Copper wire is safer to use as it is resistant to heat
compared to most other conductive metals. It has high electrical
conductivity and ductile . This makes it ideal for the
manufacturing of most electrical wires.
ALUMINIUM FOIL :
Aluminium is a decent conductor of electricity definitely not the
best when compared to copper. It is light weight and convenient
to use .It is less riskier than copper and easy to handle.
