REFLECTION OF WORK IMMERSION

Having the immersion was really good start to experience how does it feel to be in a work
place. The eighty hours of work immersion is helpful and meaningful experience during Senior
High School. It is privilege for me to have a work experience in North Stellar Hotel in which I
gain knowledge, ideas, insight and background for my dream profession. This experience helps
me on how to be responsible a better person and a successful professional someday. Our work
immersion gave me valuable learnings that I probably wouldn’t learn in just by studying. It gave
me lessons and experience of what the outside world really offers. My two weeks experience at
North Stellar help me realized the important of the responsibility of being a employee. In our
first day of work immersion I was afraid to be late because of the rules. The first day, I worked at
the front desk and the staff taught me what I wrote. Also, it my reponsibilty to assist visitors with
their luggage and one of the visitors gave me a tip for helping him. I experienced how to
communicate and clean the whole hotel. The last day, the manager told us that we’re free to
swim and eat at the North Stellar Hotel and it was fun and enjoyable experienced and now I
know how to do things that I don’t know how to do at home. I also realized that being a
employee isn’t easy because of the work we did.
