Trig Project 2i AA SL

Welcome to your trig project. 😊

This group Hand- in follows chapter 5, so it is a great idea to complete that section from the book
first.
You may work in pairs or in groups of 3.

Part 1: Radians
In this part of the project, you have to provide and work with the definition of the new unit for
measuring angles: the Radian
- Provide a written definition
- Choose 3 round object where you find 1 rad with the help of some yarn (As we did in the
class)
- Show how the formulae for the length of an arc and area of sector will look like when Rad
is in use
- Provide one example with calculations both for the length of an arc and for the area of the
sector
Part 2: Trig. Functions- graphs
In this part of the project, you are expected to draw (BY HAND) the three trig functions: sine,
cosine, and tangent – On the x -axis you must use the Rad unit. The graphs should be on scale.
Part 3: Trig. Identities
There are many trig. Identities in mathematics. In our curriculum we only have to be able to use
four types: Quotient, Co-function, Pythagorean, Double-angle.
In this part of the project you have to provide all variations of all those identities mentioned above
and give one example when you use them.
Part 4: Trig. Equations
In this part of your project, you need to find to choose and solve 3 trig equations both by hand and
on GDC.
Provide the worked-out solution as well as the screenshot of your GDS for all three of them.

Groups: (Bence, Kishore); (Anne, Sagal, Pedro); (Martin, Santi); (Polina, Islam); (Muhammed,
Zahara); (Gudrun, Andreana)
