Today we celebrate the 16th Annual Aldaw Ta Kalutungan with the theme:
“Making a progressive impact through collective efforts defending our last
environmental frontier, Mount Kalatungan Range Natural Park.” Our theme
this year, calls for a challenge. Usa ka hagit nga angayan gayod tagaan sa kinasing
kasing nga pag tagad dili lamang kanamo nga mga hamtong kundi labaw na gayod
sa atong mga kabatan-onan. Dako ang ato nga pagpa Salamat sa atong mga
katigulang tongod sa ila nga pakigbatok pakigbisog aron mapanalipdan ang ato nga
kinaiyahan. As we celebrate this year’s 16th Aldaw Ta Kalatungan, we give
recognition to the unwavering efforts of Indigenous People communities in
protecting, conserving, and preserving our beloved Mount Kalatungan Range
Natural Park. Ato tagaan og masi garbohon palakpak ang ato mga Indigenous
People communities. Salamat sa inyong tanan.

The call for protecting, conserving, and preserving our beloved Mount
Kalatungan Range Natural Park is a call for everyone. Thus, we from the
municipality of Talakag join in the call and take the challenge so that we have
something that we can pass-on to the next generation. In so doing, it would require
the collective efforts of everyone – both young and old. Our simple gesture of not
littering anywhere in the mountain range of mount Kalatungan will keep its beauty
and its splendor and will have its greatest impact in our tourism industry here in
Bukidnon which will lead to economic activities and eventually economic
prosperity for everyone.
