ASSUMPTION SPEECH

Ladies and gentlemen, officers and enlisted personnel of the Air Logistics
Command. As I am humbled and proud to stand before you as the new commander of
the Air Logistics Command. I would like to thank the outgoing commander for his
leadership, his dedication to this command and his confidence in my ability to lead the Air
Logistics Command as it takes on new challenges in a changing world. It is a privilege for
me to assume this new role and I am committed to maintaining the high level of quality
this command is known for.
We will build on what we have at the present time while opening our mind to other
possibility in the realm as stated by the evolving time. As we move forward together, I
want to share with you my vision for the Air Logistics Command. First, we must prioritize
safety in all our operations. The success of the Philippine Air Force depends on our
mission, so we must ensure that our airmen are properly trained and equipped to perform
their duties safely and efficiently.
Second, we need to further improve our logistics capabilities. Whether in the form
of fuel, spare parts or other necessities, we should be ready to provide the right support
at the right time. We must work closely with our partners in the Philippine Air Force and
other branches of the Armed Forces to ensure that our logistics operations are efficient
and error-free.
Third, we must take care of our people. Our airmen are our most important
resource, so we must provide them with the resources they need to succeed. This
includes providing them with the guidance and tools they need to progress professionally,
as well as the support they need to provide for themselves and their families.
According to John Maxwell, “Leaders become great, not because of their power,
but because of their ability to empower others.” I am honored to assume the responsibility
of Commander of the Air Logistics Command. I look forward to working with each and
every one of you to ensure that we continue to provide world-class logistical support to
the Philippine Air Force. Together we will overcome whatever obstacles stand in our way
and we will do so with supporting the skies and powering the mission. Thank you.
