DAVID GEDEON ON CAMERA, DAVID: Rider University’s search for a


MEDIUM SHOT new provost is nearing an end. The Rider
committee, consisting of 16 faculty
“DAVID GEDEON” LOWER THIRD members appointed by President Mord-A-
Kai Ro-zan-ski, has narrowed the search
OTS: RIDER UNIVERSITY LOGO down to four finalists after starting with
over 100 applicants back in April. The
OTS: RIDER PRESIDENT four finalists are Doctor David Do-wal-der,
MORDECHAI ROZANSKI Doctor David Stern, Doctor Robert Present,
and Doctor Donna Jean Fred-en. President
OTS: RIDER UNIVERSITY LOGO Ro-zan-ski and the committee will be
making a final decision soon.

CUT TO DANIELLE WERLEY ON DANIELLE: The Rider community is not


CAMERA , MEDIUM SHOT afraid to show off their school pride. The
“DANIELLE WEHRLE” LOWER THIRD Rider Student Government association
started a new school spirit campaign called
OTS: RIDER SGA GRAPHIC “Our House,” to enhance school pride and
help students feel more connected with the
OTS: “OUR HOUSE” GRAPHIC university. Students will receive a variety
of pins throughout the month of November
that represent the many forms of student
life. These pins will be given to athletes,
commuters, transfer students, and more.
OTS: LORELI COLBERT Student Government President, Lorelei
Colbert, is promoting this new campaign
OTS: “OUR HOUSE GRAPHIC” with the hopes to rid Rider’s previous
reputation of being a “Suitcase school.”

SHOT students are changing their focus from
schoolwork to job opportunities.

fall career fair to see how students are
trying to land that first job.

CUT TO AIMEE ON CAMERA AIMEE: Over 70 employers are here at the


OUTSIDE BART LUDEKE CENTER, Bart Lou-de-kee Center for this year’s Fall
MEDIUM SHOT Career Fair. And crowds of Rider students
“AIMEE SIMONE” LOWER THIRD are ready to meet them.

it and maybe have some options if I don’t
go into teaching or if I see something else
that interests me.

CUT TO DANIELLE WEHRLE, DANIELLE: The one thing Hurricane


MEDIUM SHOT Sandy failed to take away was the desire of
prospective college students to attend Rider
University. After major schedule changes
following the storm, Rider hosted its Fall
Open house this past weekend, and already
the university is receiving positive vibes
from these incoming freshman and transfer
students. Our reporter on the field Dan
Marley has the story.

CUT TO DAN MARLEY, MEDIUM DAN: Thanks, Danielle. I’m outside the
SHOT, OUTSIDE CAVALLA ROOM Cavalla Room of the Bart Lou-de-kee
Center where there are hundreds, maybe
even thousands of prospective Rider
students checking out Rider University and
all it has to offer in this year’s Fall Open
House. And already, students and staff are
enjoying the turnout.

BART LUDEKE CENTER year event on the Rider Campus that
introduces incoming freshman and transfer

FALL OPEN HOUSE Rider attendees and their families use this
day as an opportunity to tour the campus,

FALL OPEN HOUSE learn more about the academics and student
life Rider has to offer.

have the perfect college experience.

Rider is the kind of place where you are
going to be able to talk to faculty and feel
comfortable in their office, talking about a
variety of different topics.

to attend Rider University in the near future
will help them as they continue their
academic endeavors at their current

CUT TO DANIELLE WEHRLE, interest  piece  on  something  not  so  
MEDIUM SHOT human.    He  is  known  around  campus  for  
his  size,  demeanor,  and  the  red  spot  
circling  his  left  eye.      He  is,  the  Egyptian  
CUT TO B-ROLL OF EGYPTIAN goose.  Egyptian  geese  travel  thousands  
GOOSE of  miles  to  land  on  Rider’s  campus.

LOWER THIRD grounds  to  rest  before  they  go  back  on  
their  journeys.    Biology  Professor  Dr.  
Laura  Hyatt  says  that  these  geese  are  not  
CUT TO DANIELLE WEHRLE, native  to  North  America  but  are  
MEDIUM SHOT becoming  increasingly  prevalent.
