SERIES OF 2023

RESOLUTION ADOPTING AND APPROVING THE REPORT ON THE


CONDUCTED SERIES OF CLEAN-UP DRIVE IN MT. KITANGLAD SUMMIT
AND THE RE-OPENING OF ECOTOURISM ACTIVITY BY _________________.

WHEREAS, as stated in RA _______ otherwise known as


_______________________, the Protected Area Management Board (PAMB) shall issue
all rules and regulations to implement the provisions of the Act;

WHEREAS, one of the Protected Area Superintendent Office’s tasks being


designated by law as management board secretariat is to provide the necessary
information, concerns and updates for the board to come up with appropriate decisions
and actions, whenever possible;

WHEREAS, section 7B of the said act provides that the Office of the Protected
Area Superintendent shall establish productive partnership with the local community,
including groups interested in the achievement of goals and objectives of the protected
area, and in planning, protection and management thereof;

WHEREAS, a team composed of personnel from the Protected Area


Management Office (PAMO) accompanied by the Porters and Eco-Guides Association of
Kitanglad, Inc. (PEAK) have conducted site monitoring to assess the reported garbage
problem found along the trails up to the summit of Mt. Kitanglad despite on its closure
due to the COVID 19 Pandemic;

WHEREAS, PAMB Execom Resolution No. ________ series of _________ has


approved the annual conduct of clean-up drive activity in Mt. Kitanglad summit via trails
of Sitio Intavas, Barangay La Fortuna, Impasugong and Barangay Lupiagan of Sumilao,
all in the Province of Bukidnon

WHEREAS, it is evident that personnel from various telecommunication


facilities including the Armed Forces of the Philippines and the Citizen Armed Force
Geographical Unit (CAFGU) are presently staying at the summit contributing the
accumulation of solid waste material;

WHEREAS, based on the results of the conducted clean-up drive activity by


various mountaineering groups and LGU assisted by PAMO and PEAK personnel, a total
of 75 sacks of non-biodegradable garbage were collected composed of plastic wrappers,
canned goods and wine bottles was brought down for proper waste segregation and
disposal;

WHEREAS, that during the ____rd PAMB Execom meeting held last ________
2023 the PAMB had unanimously agreed that ecotourism activities in Mt. Kitanglad
summit shall be opened to public visitors of all ages and nationality to commence on the
___st day of ______________ CY 2023 after publications will be posted/aired through
social media, print, and local radio station advertisements.

WHEREAS, a ritual to be officiated by a baylan/ritualist prior to the park’s entry


shall be undertaken, wherein the ritual materials and fees shall be provided by the visitors
following what has been previously approved by the board per PAMB Resolution No.
_____, series of ______ and PAMB Resolution No. _____, series of _______ and
“Annex A” of PAMB Resolution No. _______ series of _________;

NOW, THEREFORE, upon motion of Hon. ________________, Municipal


Mayor of ____________, Bukidnon duly seconded by Hon. _______________, Vice-
Governor of the Province of Bukidnon; be it:
RESOLVED, as it is hereby resolved to adopt and approve the report on the
conducted series of clean-up drive in Mt. Kitanglad Summit and the re-opening of
ecotourism activity by ______________, 2023.

RESOLVED FINALLY, to furnish copies of this resolution to the local


government units surrounding the park, office of the regional and provincial tourism
officer and other partner NGO’s for their information and reference.
