ACTIVITY 3

Answer the following questions comprehensively. (40 points)

1. Create a poem/riddle/song that explains the importance of the facilities and
equipment in badminton.
Answer:
“Badminton Facilities & Equipment”
(poem)

Every facilities and equipment’s

Are important for our accomplishment
As we use this as an investment
For our own Improvement

In a massive badminton court

Every player finds comfort
Not only because of the effort and support
Bur also because of the good place to play sport

Slammed it, to ascend and descend,

A good shuttlecock to be send
To reach, we have to extend
Our arms must be fast in extent

We also need to have our own net and racquet

Which we could not put in put pocket
But we can use it
As we play in 1st, 2nd until the 3rd set.
2. What alternative would you suggest to children who want to play badminton but
lacks the facilities and equipment of the sport?
Answer:
No game is complete without the equipment required. Without that essential equipment and
facilities, a sport is deemed worthless. Playing badminton requires a lot of facilities and equipment,
however you can still play this sport even without a god facilities of badminton court, you only need
enough space for you to be able to start the game. You can play this without a net, you can’t play it
without shuttlecocks and racquet which is the most important equipment in it. If ever you do not have
this, then you can provide it by doing it yourself, you can create your own racquets by the use of
sticks, specifically bamboo sticks so that you can bend it and make it the head of the racquet and
bamboo shoot for its handle, you can also use nylon thread for its head.

3. Differentiate facilities from equipment. Are the two the same? Why or why not?
Answer:
Both facilities and equipment’s are the same thing that we need to have in order for us to
perform and accomplish an activity however it is not the same in terms of its purpose.
Facilities involves the particular area in a place, structure or a building where in a specific
activity is being performed while, equipment’s are the things that we need to use in order for
us to do the act or perform that specific activity.

4. Describe what happens when the school you study in lacks facilities and equipment of
the sport you like to play. What ways would you suggest to better learn and understand
the sport given the situation?
Answer:
If the school has its limited facilities and equipment the knowledge we get is also limited
and due to that, the progress in every individual becomes complicated and slow and I think it
it will affect the performance of the learners or a student. In some instances, they use videos
and other printed materials to let the student understand the specific sport but somehow it
does not work al all, given that they cannot apply what they have seen in a video nor read in a
printed material. With that, I would like to suggest that the school must should provide the
need of facilities and equipment for the reason that it would be helpful in letting the student
understand the sport and it would be easier for them to enhance and improve their skills.
Imagine a game without a net, racket, shuttlecock and other such essentials that can’t be
ignored. Badminton, however, unlike the sports need lesser equipment or accessories.
Moreover, the budget also remains intact, unlike other costly sports that require denting of the
pocket. If you are an aspiring badminton player and want to have a match with your
competitors in the most conventional and professional way, this equipment needs to be
considered at any cost.
