Marxist and feminist criticism of Aladdin, a 2019 movie

Aladdin (2019) is a movie that is adapted from Aladdin (1992), an animated musical
comedy fantasy action-adventure film produced by Walt Disney Feature Animation, and
The Thousand and One Nights, also called The Arabian Nights. It is a Middle Eastern
and Indian story, a tale of Aladdin, Ali Baba, and Sinbad the Sailor. Arabian Nights is
written by Antione Galland. It is a Sultan type of place, where the Sultan is a king and he
only passes the crown to the prince, even if the princess has the qualifications for the
throne. Many people don’t believe in the princess since she is a woman; they expect her
to marry a rich man and the prince to take over the kingdom. There are also many
people who live in slums, and they’re considered thieves or scoundrels for a living. An
example of this is the main character of Aladdin (2019), Aladdin.
Aladdin is an orphaned street urchin in the Arabian city of Agrabah. As the movie
begins, Aladdin starts to steal accessories to live. He sold the accessory to a pawn shop
to gain money to buy food. Though Aladdin is an orphan and considered a thief, he still
has a kind heart to help people in need. As he wandered around the street, he then met
the princess, who was in disguise.
The princess helped the kids, but she got in trouble for stealing food. Every piece of
food is worth something, like a treasure in there; they must not waste anything because
they’re also people that are dying. It is a poor place where food is limited, and a
shortage of food is also an issue there. They have to visit or take over a kingdom to gain
more food to live. Even with all of that, the people in the slums are happy; they laugh
and live together. The Sultan is good; he’s good for his countrymen; however, Jafar was
not satisfied with the situation in the kingdom.
He wanted to gain more power that would only benefit him. He then sacrificed many
people to enter the Cave of Wonders. Many innocents were sacrificed for his ambitions;
Aladdin was one of them. However, unlike others, Aladdin survived the tragic event. He
then became rich overnight to get the attention of the princess. He gained attention, but
he knows that, no matter what he does, he is still a poor, thieving, and scoundrel boy.
But then he tried really hard to get the girl he was hoping for. Eventually, they got
together, and the princess is now the sultan. She changed the rules that bind the
relationship with the boy so they could be together. The princess overcame the hardship
and became the sultan to help the people and the kingdom survive together until the
end.
