Narrative Report

Scouting is a fulfilling activity full of ideals that are an essential part of a student's life. It
also helps them develop skills that will help them in their daily lives and in the community.
These are just some of the things everyone gained when they participated in scouting activities.

San Miguel Technical Vocational School held its one-day school-based Llanes Escoda
Camp ’22 on November 5, 2022. It was participated by 49 girl scouts and 10 troop leaders. The
said activity had four parts: registration, the opening program, activities proper, and the closing
and awarding programs.

PART I. Registration
In the first part of the programme, which is registration, the participants registered and
submitted their parents’ consent.

PART II. OPENING PROGRAM

The Opening programme took place at exactly 8:30 in the morning. It was formally
started with the Singing of Anthems led by Tita Analyn T. Seguera, GSP Troop Leader, followed
by the Panunumpa sa Watawat by Kuya Germaine Paul A. Labonite, Senior Boy Scout, and the
Invocation by Tita Al Nadine B. Mellanas, BSP Unit Leader. Following it was the rededication of
Scouts and Scouters led by Ate Malachy Dea D. Juaton, Senior GSP Scout, and Kuya Gian Carlo
Cajes, BSP Senior Scout.
Tita Melyn B. Asombrado, the Master in Ceremony, set the tone of the camping
activities, and then Tita Jacqueline Oculares, BSP Unit Leader, gave her welcome address.
Afterwards, lively recognitions of participants were done by the respective BSP and GSP School
Coordinators, Tito Jame Paul T. Galgao and Tita Jocelyn A. Cabillo, respectively. There were 57
boys, 49 girls, and 22 scouts who participated. During the later part, the participating scouts
moved and shouted their songs and cheers by troop or unit. These songs let out all the built-up
tension from the day and helped the campers and the staff loosen up or warm up.
Subsequently, Dr. Martin C. Ramis, School Principal I/BSP Unit Leader, delivered the
statement of purpose of the activity and an inspirational message to the campers to engage
their minds and hearts in such a way that motivates them to think more clearly, see
opportunities, and move forward with action while joining BSP and GSP activities.
Lastly, Tita Leah B. Amang, Master Teacher and BSP Unit Leader, declared the Opening
of the CPG and JLE Camp 2023.

PART III. ACTVITIES PROPER

The camping proper took place right away after the opening programme. The Girls and
Boys did their series of activities simultaneously with the guidance of their titos and titas.

GSP Activities. The girls attended their first activity, the Lecture, which was conducted by Tita
Genevev L. Yecyec. During the lecture, they learned about the ideals of Girl Scouting with the
following topics: Council Circular No. 12, Introduction to the GSP Movement, The GSP
Programme, Calendar Of Activities for SY 2021-2022, and Scouting Songs. It was indeed a fun
session because the girls were able to get reoriented about GSP programmes and learn how to
sing some GSP camping songs. In the second activity, they had their handcraft making, where
they experienced making handcrafts out of recyclable materials. Then, in the third activity, they
had their cooking sessions. They cooked vegetable recipes in a traditional way. Next, they
enjoyed their dancing and larong pinoy activities. Right after, they contested around the
campfire, where they showed their original and various songs and cheers.

PART IV. CLOSING AND AWARDING PROGRAM

The closing programme and awarding of winners were done at 7:00 in the evening. Ate
Angelica Faith Astronomo, GSP Senior Scout, and Kuya Michael Angelo Remitera, BSP Senior
Scout, shared their impressions regarding the camping activities. After that, Tita Cynthia O.
Nuez, emcee, announced the winners of the different contests. Everyone got excited and
blessed as they received their different awards. Then, Tito Neilson M. Redulla, Junior High
Coordinator/BSP Unit Leader, delivered his message to bring home. The programme was ended
by a closing prayer by Tita Lorna Ceballos, GSP Troop Leader, and the exit of colours.
The campers said goodbyes to their co-campers and titas as the one-day activity
culminated.
Overall, the campers were active and showed interest in doing all the prepared series of
activities, and surely they learned essential lessons that can be applied in their real-life
situations. Thanks to their supportive and capable troop and unit leaders.
