ITINERARY

Day 1: Arrival at Dehradun / Haridwar.


Today after you arrive in Dehradun or Haridwar, you will be meet and greet the SLA representative. You will
be transferred to camp, and on reaching check-in and settle your luggage. Later, get ready and move out to
understand raft guiding theory. Today the course details will be shared, you will know your trainers, listen to
the briefings carefully, and then after you are done for the first day, head back to your camp.

Day 2: Equipment and Gear fitting. Safety briefing. First river trip. Swimming in rapids and Eddys
techniques. Understanding River Hazards.
As soon as the sun gilds over the skies, you will begin the second day of your training. Post breakfast, you
will try all your equipment and gears required for rafting. Your trainer will guide you and brief you about all
the do’s and don’ts of the activity. Make sure you abide by it, and try to follow it through the adventure
course. Then, following all of this, you will be given certain safety briefing, post which you will go for your
first river trip. You will taught techniques to swim in rapids to make you understand river hazards.

Day 3: Basic river skills. River trip. Practice signals on river. River flora and fauna.
Wake up to a beautiful sunrise, and then post breakfast, head out to begin the third day of this amazing
adventure. Today you will first learn the basic river skills and then will head towards the river, where you will
practice the mandatory signals that will help you at the time of emergency. There will be a safety kayaker
around you to rescue you if any mishap takes place. Train your sights as you might even spot intriguing
variety of flora and fauna.

Day 4: Basic river skills. River trip. Practice with rescue bags, navigating rapids, reading the river.
Post breakfast, today you will practice rafting with rescue bags/throw bags. This bag helps in rescuing a
swimmer and also to unpin the boat. It’s bold and bright in color, so that when in need of emergency it must
catch the eye in one look. You will be trained how to throw the bag, blow whistle before throwing, and more
such knowledge will be given to you. You will be also trained how to navigate the rapids, how to row during
those time. And the trainer will also brief you on how to read the river and its roaring flow. After all this, you
can head back to your stay for some rest.

Day 5: Basic river skills. River trip. Practice with raft flips.
This day you will require to practice rafting with raft flips, for which you will have to train with the experts on
how to unflip the boat when an accident takes place. For this, you need to listen the instructions carefully,
and make sure you use them while you are training in the river. To unflip a raft is a bit tricky process, you
will need all your team members as it is a group job. You will be trained for the entire process. After you
perform today's activities, you will return back to your stay for an overnight rest.

Day 6: Equipment care and Raft repair. Raft building and guiding exercise. Celebration barbecue.
Distribution of certificates.
After a scrumptious meal in the morning, it is time for you to learn raft repairing, raft building and guiding
exercise. After this, your rafting course will come to an end, and you can return to your stay. Also, today
certificates will be distributed according to your achievements. Later, a barbeque dinner for the celebration
will be there. Enjoy your heart-out.

Day 7: After breakfast transfer to airport for flight out.


This morning, you will pack your bags, and then head out for breakfast. Then, you will depart for your return
journey. You will be taken to the airport as per the schedule.

1. 5 % GST.
2. Any airfare.
3. Passport fee, visa fee, fee for inoculations and health certificates.
4. Any meals or optional trips other than specified in the programme.
5. Personal equipment like clothes, daypacks, cameras, medical kit etc.
6. Personal expenses such as alcoholic and non alcoholic beverages, telephone calls, tips & gratuities,
laundry etc.
7. Any exigency expenses caused by or liability for disturbance in trip programme due to circumstances
beyond our normal control such as airline delays/ cancellation, road blocks, vehicle malfunctions,
weather conditions, sickness, natural disasters, riots etc.

46 Days or more before date of departure: 25% of total cost.
31 - 45 Days before date of departure: 50% of total cost.
30 days before date of departure: 100% of total cost.
Important: The booking stands liable to be cancelled if 100% payment is not received less than 30 days
before date of departure.

30 days or more before departure: 25% of total cost
29 - 20 days before departure: 50% of total cost
Less than 20 days before departure: 100% of total cost
IF WE CHANGE OR CANCEL YOUR ADVENTURE HOLIDAY
We do plan the arrangements in advance. It is unlikely that we will have to make any changes to your travel
arrangements. Occasionally, we may have to make changes due to Force Majeure Events and we reserve
the right to do so at any time before or during the trip.
If there are any changes, we will advise you of them at the earliest possible date before or during the trip
based on the Force Majeure Events.
We also reserve the right under Force Majeure Events to cancel your travel arrangements / offer alternative
dates / revise the itinerary before or during the trip. Any additional cost incurred due to the above-
mentioned reasons will have to be borne by the traveller himself. There shall be no refund to the traveller
under Force Majeure Events.
Force Majeure Event shall mean and include any circumstance beyond the reasonable control of
Adventure Nation, including without limitation, any act of nature or the public enemy, accident, explosion,
fire, storm, earthquake, flood, drought, perils of the sea, casualty, strikes, lock-outs, labour troubles, riots,
sabotage, terrorists acts, embargo, war (whether or not declared), governmental actions, delay in issuance
or processing of Visa/permit, change of laws and regulations, orders, or decrees, or other causes of like or
different character beyond the control of Adventure Nation.

IF YOU WANT TO CHANGE YOUR ADVENTURE HOLIDAY PLAN


After you make full or partial payment, if you wish to change your travel arrangements in any way (e.g. your
chosen departure date or accommodation), we will do our utmost to make these changes but it may not
always be possible. Any request for changes must be in writing from the person who made the booking. All
cost incurred due to amendment will be borne by the traveller himself.
