CT PNS
TECHNIQUE:
2 mm contiguous axial and coronal slices are taken for para-nasal sinuses.
No IV contrast is given.

CLINICAL DATA : On and Off Frontal Headache-1 year


FINDINGS: -

 Left maxillary sinus and right anterior ethmoid air cells are filled
with fluid density material. Left osteomeatal complex is blocked.
Rest of the paranasal sinuses are clear. No mass is noted.
 Both mastoid bones, external ear, middle ear and internal auditory
canals are unremarkable.
 Mastoids appear normal.
 Bilateral pterygoid plates are intact.
 Region of nasopharynx is clear.
 Deviated nasal septum with bony spur towards left is seen causing
narrowing of left nasal cavity
 Bilateral inferior nasal turbinates hypertrophy is seen.
 Visualized brain is normal.

CONCLUSION: -

 Left maxillary and right ethmoid sinusitis with deviated nasal


septum towards left
