Area of Cylinder
How do you find a surface area of a
cylinder?

A cylinder's volume is π r² h, and

its surface area is 2π r h + 2π r².
Cylinder in daily life
Cylinder can be found in our daily life, for example :

Gas Coca Cola can Candle

Bucket Gallon Battery Present box

Pipe Fire Extinguisher Water bottle Wood logs

Questions examples
This figure is a right cylinder with radius of 2 m and
1.
a height of 10 m.
What is the surface area of the right cylinder (m2)?

Explanation :

In order to find the surface area of a right cylinder you must find the area of
both bases and add them to the lateral surface area.
The area of the two circles : 2⋅22⋅π = 25.14.
The lateral area : 4⋅π⋅10 = 125.66

Now add the lateral area to the area of the two bases:
25.14+125.66 = 150.8
