A notice is hereby given for information of the general public that: 01. the Master Plan 2000-2021 for Sri stands approved by the Government vide Cabinet Decision No.’ 1/1 dated 1 02. . it [I come into operation from the date of issue of this letter. 03. copies of the Master Plan will be available for inspection of general public at the following places during office hours from ¢ of this notification to 28° February 2003, namely 1. __ Offfice of the Vice Chairman, Srinagar Development Authority. Il. _Offfice of the Administrator, SMC, Srinagar. Ill. Office of the Divisional Commissioner, Kashmir /Deputy Commissioner , Srinagar, Further the Government hereby directs that the areas indicated in the Annexure-B annexed hereto shall also be’ of Srinagar Development Authority for the purpose of the said Act. Housing & Urban Dev.Department i Scanned with CamScanner ‘Scanned with CamScanner The Town Planning Organisation Submitted the draft Master Plan on December 15th, 1998 which was examin Regma = Constituted by the Government vide Order No. 28-HUD of 1998 dated; 15/12/1998, The Committee raised Pe iiproverent of the draft pian and the revised draft Master Plan was fomished by the Town Planning Organise in June, 1999. The revised draft was discussed in a number of meetings of the Committee and even Vice Chairman, DDA and « Planning Commissioner, DDA were ited in one of the meetings of the Committee and the revised draft was found deficient in certain matters, for which the consultancy of retired Chief Town Planner, Mr. M.S. Pampori was recommended by the committee for fine tuning of the draft Master Plan, which was approved by the Board in its 63rd Board Meeting held on October 16th, 1999. The draft Master Plan covers 126 villages in addition to the local area notified vide SRO - 43 dated 3 2nd February 1971 for which the proposal for amendment of the notification has been submitted to the Government. The latest satellite imageries from IRS Hyderabad were procured and degitized and the base map was updated and revised draft Master Plan was prepared and submitted to the SDA Board in its extra Ordinary Meeting held on July 25th ,2000. The SDA Board approved the publication of draft Master Plan for inviting objections and suggestions from public as required under the Provisions of Development Act 1970 and constituted a committee under the Principal Secretary to Govt., Housing and Urban 5 Development Department for consideration of objections and suggestions. The draft Master Plan has been given wide publicity through print and electronic media. The seminars were also organised where the draft Master Plan was deliberated upon, wherein the views of legislators, administrators, senior citizens, persons from business, trade and industry were noted. Besides the suggestions/ Views in the seminars, 106 written objections/suggestions were received, which were considered ‘by the committee and the committee — finalized its recommendations/views on the suggestions/objections received and placed before the SDA Board in its 65th ' held on January 4th, 2001 at Jammu.
