Dear Internships Arena Staff,

I am writing to express my strong interest in the NHL internship opportunity for the
internship posted on August 17, 2023. As a dedicated sports enthusiast with a passion for hockey
and a commitment to excellence, I am excited about the prospect of contributing to the NHL
franchise and gaining valuable experience within the world of professional sports.
Currently pursuing a degree in Recreation and Sport Management at Coastal Carolina
University, I have developed a solid foundation in Sports concepts, Sports Industry Trends,
Marketing and Promotion Strategies, and Facility Management. Through coursework and
extracurricular activities, I have honed my ability to improve my communication and
organizational skills, Leadership and Teamwork, Customer Service, and Problem-Solving Skills.
Additionally, my experience as an Assistant Coach for high school volleyball and lacrosse teams
has equipped me with a strong work ethic, effective leadership skills, and a proven track record
of successfully mentoring younger athletes.
What sets me apart as a candidate is my profound love for hockey, coupled with my
desire to learn and grow within the dynamic environment of the NHL franchise. I am well-versed
in the intricacies of the game, and I am eager to contribute my knowledge and skills to support
the NHL’s goals. My adaptability, attention to detail, and ability to collaborate in fast-paced
settings make me an ideal candidate for this internship role.
I am particularly drawn to the Washington Capitals commitment to Unity throughout the
city of DC and the surrounding areas, respect for teammates, opponents, officials and fans,
community engagement, and the passion and work ethic they dedicate to the sport every year. I
would be more than excited about the opportunity to be part of a team and work with this team or
any NHL team that shares my dedication to these values.
 As an intern, I am confident that I will make meaningful contributions, whether it's
through hockey operations, marketing and sales, or media and communications. I am also
enthusiastic about the prospect of learning from seasoned professionals and gaining insights into
the inner workings of an NHL team.
