TECHNOLOGY :
Technology is the use of scientific
knowledge, skills, tools, and methods to
solve real-world problems, reach
objectives, or make new things. It includes
all sorts of new ideas and improvements
in areas like computers, medical
treatments, building things, and
communication.
MENTAL HEALTH :

Mental health is how someone

feels inside and how well they
can handle their emotions,
thoughts, and relationships. It's
about being able to deal with
stress, get along with others,
make decisions, and live their
life in a good way.
PROS OF TECHNOLOGY FOR MENTAL HEALTH

 Increased Accessibility: Technology has made mental health resources

and support more accessible to a wider audience, especially those who
might not have access to in-person services due to location or other
barriers.

 Convenience: You can now use the internet, phone apps, and online stuff
to get help with your feelings and mind from your own home. It's like
having a therapist or tools right on your computer or phone

 Education and Awareness: The internet has a lot of helpful info about
mental health that can teach people and make them understand better.
 Anonymity and Privacy: Online platforms allow individuals to seek
information and support anonymously, which can be particularly helpful for
those who are uncomfortable discussing their mental health in person.

 Self-Management Tools: Apps and digital tools provide users with tools for
relaxation, meditation, stress management, and mood tracking.

 Support Communities: Online forums and social media groups enable

individuals to connect with others who share similar experiences, reducing
feelings of isolation.
CONS OF TECHNOLOGY FOR MENTAL HEALTH

 Quality Concerns: Not all online mental health resources are of high quality,
and misinformation can be harmful. It's important to ensure that the
sources are credible and evidence-based.

 Digital Overload: Excessive use of technology can lead to information

overload, social comparison, and increased stress, which can negatively
affect mental well-being.

 Depersonalization: Talking to people online might not feel as deep or

personal as talking in person. This could make you feel more alone or cut off
from others.
 Privacy and Security Concerns: Sharing personal information online can
raise privacy and security concerns, especially when it comes to sensitive
mental health data.

 Tech Addiction: Excessive use of technology, including social media, gaming,

or browsing, can contribute to addictive behaviors and impact mental
health negatively.

 Disconnect from Real World: Depending too much on technology can make
you forget about real-life stuff, like talking in person and doing physical
things that are important for feeling good..
CONCULSION

Technology can make mental health better or worse. As we

look at how they mix, we need to think about the good and
bad sides, and also the right and wrong parts. This way, we
can use technology to make everyone's mental health better
in the future.
