ABSTRACK
Paranoid schizophrenia comes from the Greek word ''skhizein'' which can be interpreted as cracking or breaking
(spill), and ''phren'' which means thoughts that are always associated with emotional function. One characteristic of
schizophrenia is sensory hallucinations. One of them is on sensory hearing. Auditory hallucinations are when the
client hears clear or unclear voices where the voice usually invites the client to speak or do something but is not
related to real things that other people do not hear). The purpose of this writing is to describe the management of
nursing with sensory perception disorders: auditory hallucinations on Mr. S with schizophrenia at Prof. Mental
Hospital. Dr. Muhammad Ildrem in the Dolok Sanggul I Room. The method used is to provide management in the
form of patient care in controlling the auditory hallucinations experienced. Management of the patient was carried out
for 6 days at Mr. S. Data collection techniques were carried out using interview techniques, physical examination,
observation and supporting examinations. The management results show that the client is able to control the auditory
hallucinations he is experiencing, namely by scolding, taking medicine, conversing and carrying out scheduled
activities. The client has not been able to overcome the hallucinations he is experiencing as a whole due to the
limited time given, so the assistance and care provided cannot provide optimal results.
