MAKE or DO?

In English, we use 'make' and 'do' in a similar way. Often, we just need to learn the expressions.

Here are some expressions with 'make' and 'do'.

· do your best: I did my best during the race, but I still came last.

· do a course: I'm going to do a grammar course later this year.

· do an exam: Do you have to do many exams this year?

· do research: My brother does research about biochemistry.

· do homework: Have you done your homework yet?

· make a decision: She made a decision to quit her job.

· make a mistake: I keep making mistakes with the tenses!

· make a choice: You need to make a choice.

· make a suggestion: Can I make a suggestion? How about Italian food tonight?

· make a reservation: I'd like to make a reservation for five people for tomorrow evening.
