QUESTIONS ANSWERS 1. TELL ME ABOUT URSELF Assalamo Alaikom W.W., I am Baingan B. Mastur, married and a mother of 3 children, a resident of Malagapas RH 10 Cot. City. I am now a JHS Teacher III in CCNHS-Main Campus. I have been in the government service as a public school teacher for 25 years. I am in front of you now as an applicant of Senior Education Program Specialist, because I believed my skills and trainings when combined with the vision mission of the company will result in a more productive years ahead. I may not be as good as any other employee for this position, but my passion for excellence is a good motivation for me to work harder each day. To break barriers, to cross boundaries , to overcome fears, to triumph over rejections are my driving weapons to give more, to produce more and be the best that I can because I believed if I am not going to start now then when. If I will not do it now then who will do it for me. EDUCATION: I finished BSED major in General Science at NDU. I also finished MSciEd major in General Science in - MSU-Mag. I am also a graduate of Master of Arts in Education major in Educational Management at SBC. I am now currently enrolled in USM-Kabacan taking up Doctor of Philosophy major in Biology Education and I just passed the Comprehensive Examination last May, we are now preparing for our Dissertation this school year. I believed my diploma in master in Science education can help me do research more, and my diploma in educational management can help me understand what intervention is best for a particular group of learners. TRAINING: I have listed the trainings I attended in my PDS which are relevant to the position I am applying for as Senior Education Program Specialist. Just recently I attended CAPABILITY BUILDING ON THE 21ST CENTURY SKILLS INTEGRATION IN THE COMPETENCY-BASED CURRICULUM at Tatis Resto for 3 days which is equivalent to 24 hours, and another training and seminar-workshop on 21ST CENTURY SKILLLS INTEGRATION in the workplace at Golden lace for another 3 days which is also equivalent to another 24 hours. EXPERIENCE: In one of the TechVoc schools in Maguindanao, I was assigned as Skills Training Supervisor who is in charge of facilitating the conduct of skills training among out-of-school youth and Bangsamoro rebel returnees where most of our scholars have difficulty reading and writing. As an intervention, we made use of videos and powerpoint presentation that uses local dialects to facilitate their training. Our modules also are translated into their mother-tongue dialects to help them understand the instructions. If given the chance to be hired to this position, I believed translating our books, modules, and other forms of instructions into the local dialects can help students understand their lessons better. Like for example, if majority of our learners are Teduray, if we can make use of teduray language or Tausug language and any language for this matter or making use of icons in our modules that will serve as their clue will really help our learners and soon teachers will no longer suffer for the centennial problem on making education work for the succeeding generations.
