    GETTYSBURG ADDRESS

    Four score and seven years ago, our forefathers brought forth upon this continent
    A new nation, conceived in liberty, and dedicated to the proposition that all men
    are created equal.

    Now, we are engaged in a great civil war, testing whether that nation, or any nation
    So conceived and so dedicated, can long endure.
    We are met on a great battle-field, as a final resting place for those who here gave
    their lives that the nation might live. It is altogether fitting and proper that we
    should do this.
