I am inspired not just by how well she expressed her sentiments but by the commitment she put
in every word uttered in her mouth. I have realized the struggle and determination of the Filipino
people to attain democracy in the hands of dictatorship. _ _

1. Democracy- a new constitution that aims to free the Filipino people from dictatorship.
2. Bill of Rights- is the first 10 amendments of the constitution that guarantees civil rights and liberties
to an individual.

SUMMARY
President Corazon C. Aquino (1986-1992) in her speech during the 1986 Joint Session in the United
States Congress live an inspiring words that challenge the world in a worlds of freedom and democracy.
She spoke of the death of her husband that brings fort the spirit to fight for the rights of every Filipinos.
She also speaks as to how she gets into presidency with little money and courage challenged by the
oppressing dictatorship. She also speaks her way of gratitude to each and every Filipino people who
supported her through the rough road to new freedom. Her inspirational message marks the heart of
everyone that hears her speech who aims for a new country driven by dignity and courage. _
