1999 REPORT MESSAGE

CODECO Container gate-in/gate-out report message

Comments
1. This message is for reporting both empty and full containers moving in and out of marine teminals,
container depots, container yards, container pools, equipment repair facilities, rail yards, trucking
terminals, etc. It can also be used to report internal terminal container moves, including loading, and
discharge of an inland means of transport such as train, truck and barge, but excluding loading and
discharging of ocean going vessels.
2. Even though the message allows the transmission of more than one container per message, for
North America (with the exception of the equipment leasing and repair industry) we are recommending
the sending of one message per container and not the transmission of multiple containers within one
message.
