Indoor Air Quality Test Result
Indoor air quality (IAQ) is the air quality within and around buildings and structures. Determination
of IAQ involves the collection of air samples, monitoring human exposure to pollutants, collection of samples
on building surfaces, and computer modeling of air flow inside buildings.
The outdoor concentration of carbon dioxide can vary from 250-400 parts per million (ppm) or higher in areas
with vehicle high traffic or industrial activity. Ventilation should keep carbon dioxide concentrations below
1,000 ppm and create indoor air quality conditions that are acceptable to most individuals.
Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) refers to the air quality within and around buildings and structures, especially as it
relates to the health and comfort of building occupants. Understanding and controlling common pollutants
indoors can help reduce your risk of indoor health concerns.
Particulate matter (also referred to as PM or particle pollution) is a complex mixture of solid and/or liquid
particles suspended in air. These particles can vary in size, shape and composition. EPA is especially concerned
about particles that are 10 micrometers in diameter or smaller because these particles are inhalable. Once
inhaled, particles can affect the heart and lungs and, in some cases, cause serious health effects. The human
health effects of outdoor PM are well-established and are used to set health-based standards for outdoor air
(National Ambient Air Quality Standards, NAAQS). PM is also found in all indoor environments. Indoor PM
levels have the potential to exceed outdoor PM levels and the NAAQS. However, less is known about the
specific impacts of indoor PM on health.

Discussion & Recommendation:
MSCT-Environment & Calibration Solutions has adopted the ECR, 1997 guidelines for air quality of
MATRIX STYLES LIMITED. During inspection, it has been found that all parameter was within the
standard limit, given by ECR, 1997, Air Quality Control Rules 2022, and Ambient Air Quality Standard
2005. However, no traces of Sox and NOx were found during the inspection.
The management may follow the following recommendation for further improvement:
More tree plantation around the factory premises.
Restrict any kind of onsite waste disposal, incineration, or open burning.
Control factory vehicle movement.
Road watering or road paving with stone.
Regular air quality monitoring.
Factory is suggested to assess the Indoor air quality at least once in a year if all other setup constantly.
