Monitoring the abnormal demand and forecast accuracy (PE & Bias) and make
adjustment in demand forecasting and make customer commitment on deliveries
on the basis of demonstrated internal and external capacities and key supplier
commitments.
Ensure that short term abnormal demand is handled by using FPC process (Time
fence, Published lead time & MCR process) and proper communication to
customer and internal supply chain and come out with final demand plan (MDS)
and subsequently production plan (MPS).
Quarterly review of Published lead time and release it to customers for various
models and new models included.
Monitoring the key KPIs like OTD to request, OTD to Promise, backlog,
manufacturing schedule attainment, supplier delivery performance etc and
action plans to improve if any gap to target is there.
Regular interaction with plant PPC teams for weekly commitment Vs. actual
despatch status and facilitating the capacity planning review meeting to discuss all
action plans with supply chain, sourcing and SQI teams to make sure that weekly
customer delivery commitments are met.
Presenting the business case and escalating all critical issues to Business leader to
get the decision on the future action plan to bridge the gaps between
unconstrained demand and supply chain capability to meet the business goals.
Support to improve the FPC (Foundation of planning & Control) and DC
(Demand control) process by mentoring the DC facilitator.
Facilitate all assessments and audits on Business excellence process
(Synchronized Business Planning-SBP) by regular interaction with all
stakeholders on suggested improvements by consultant firm-Oliver Wight.
Coordination between Product planning team, marketing team and supply chain

master creation, BOM creation, DOM creation, Line wise part master, Product
