Independence

India's freedom fighters fought for


independence from British rule. Their
heroic stories inspire us to be courageous
and fight for what is right. This
presentation will showcase some of the
brave men and women who sacrificed
their lives for India's freedom.
Bhagat Singh
Bhagat Singh was a revolutionary
socialist who fought against British
colonialism. He was a member of the
Hindustan Socialist Republican
Association and was executed at the
age of 23 for his involvement in the
murder of a British police officer.
Rani Lakshmibai
Rani Lakshmibai was the queen of the
princely state of Jhansi and a leading
figure in the Indian Rebellion of 1857. She
fought against the British East India
Company and died in battle at the age of
29.
Mahatma Gandhi
Mahatma Gandhi was a key figure in India's
freedom struggle. He advocated for non-
violent resistance and civil disobedience. His
famous Salt March in 193 was a turning point in
India's fight for independence.
Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose

Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose was a


nationalist leader who believed in armed
resistance against British rule. He formed
the Indian National Army and fought
alongside the Japanese in World War II.
Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel
Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel was a lawyer
and politician who played a leading role
in India's struggle for independence. He
was instrumental in the integration of
princely states into the Indian Union.
Sarojini Naidu
Sarojini Naidu was a poet and political
activist who was involved in the Indian
independence movement. She was the
first woman to become the President of
the Indian National Congress.
Dr. B.R. Ambedkar
Dr. B.R. Ambedkar was a social reformer
and politician who fought against social
discrimination and the caste system in
India. He was one of the architects of the
Indian Constitution.
The Quit India Movement
The Quit India Movement was a civil
disobedience movement launched by
Mahatma Gandhi in 1942 demanding an
end to British rule in India. It was one of
the largest mass movements in Indian
history.
Conclusion
India's freedom fighters were brave and selfless
individuals who fought for the country's
independence. Their legacy continues to inspire us to
fight for justice and equality. Let us never forget their
