Learning Objectives By the end of the lesson, pupils should be able to:
1. create 1 colour wheel that consists of 3 primary and 3 secondary
colours with guidance.
2. correctly guess 2 objects based on the colours. (R-1, P-3)
Activity Pre-Lesson
Pupils are constantly reminded to pay attention to their safety in the
classroom and at school.
Guessing game. Think of an item, pupils ask you about what colour it
is and guess, e.g. Teacher: It’s a fruit. Pupils: Is it blue? No. Is it
yellow? Yes. Is it a banana? Yes
Lesson Development
Put flashcards with words of the six main colours (primary and
secondary) on the board.
Pupils discuss and categorize the colours into 2 groups.
Play/sing the song and ask pupils to check their answer. (21st CA)
Draw a circle on the board and divide it into six parts.
Elicit the primary colours and ask a pupil to write them.
Elicit the secondary colours that are made when the primary colours
are mixed and fill in the last three segments with these.
Ask pupils to make their own colour wheels. They should colour each
part make a small hole in the middle of the circle and put in their
pencil/pen so it will spin. (HOTS)(CBA)
Post-Lesson
Pupils draw and colour an object of their own choice. Use pupils’
pictures to play a guessing game.
Pupils practise target language with teacher’s guidance. (Remedial)
Pupils check target language with partners. (Reinforcement)
Read a short story. (Enrichment)

2. name 1 favourite toy and describe it 2 simple sentences with

Activity Pre-Lesson
Pupils are constantly reminded to pay attention to their safety in the
classroom and at school.
Tell pupils to point to different-coloured objects in the room. Say, e.g.
Find something blue. Repeat for the other known colours. Go around
the room pointing to or touching objects and asking What colour is it?
Lesson Development.
Hold up each flashcard in turn. Say the word for pupils to repeat in
chorus. Stick the flashcards on the board or around the room.
Pupils look at the picture in their Student’s Books. Play the recording.
Pupils point to the objects and words they heard. (CD 1 28)
Play the recording again. Pupils repeat the words. Pupils practice
pointing and naming in pairs. (21st CA)
Pupils look at the chant, listen and follow the chant in their Student’s
Book. (CD1 29)
Play the recording again, pausing after each verse for pupils to
repeat. Do the chant as a class and then in group.
Pupils do the exercises in the module. (CBA)
Post-Lesson
Pupils, volunteers, pick 1 favourite toy and describe it in 2 sentences
with guidance.

Flash each flashcards very quickly in the class. Elicit what the word
is and drill pupils the correct pronunciation. Pre-teach favourite by
asking pupils which their favourite toy is. (HOTS)
Lesson Development.
Give pupils time to look at the pictures. Point to each child and say
his/her name. Super Minds page 23.
Each pupil gets a template of 4 columns. Pupils listen to the
recording and fill in the columns with the correct toys.(CD1 31)
Play the recording again and check answers with the class.
Play the first question and answer. Pupils repeat. Focus on his for
boy/man. (CD1 32)
Repeat for each question and answer. Focus on her, he / he’s, she /
she’s. Practice in pairs.
Pupils, volunteers, come to the front and describe about a friend’s
toy using the correct pronouns learned.
Post-Lesson
Teach pupils Bye! Pupils say Bye! to each other (e.g. Bye Nur!, Bye.
Amir!) and Bye!
