ATMAE Accreditation
Background:
ATMAE accreditation ensures that an Institution has met a series of standards to provide
industry with highly competent employees and assures the graduate of an ATMAE
accredited program that they are receiving a marketable degree through relevant
curricula.
Institutions that earn accreditation from ATMAE confirm their commitment to quality and
continuous improvement through a rigorous and comprehensive review process.
General Outcomes:
A list of general expectations for “what” students are expected to achieve in the form of
knowledge and skills:
a. Technical - ability to apply the knowledge, techniques, skills, and modern tools as appropriate
to the discipline
b. Math & Science-ability to apply a knowledge of mathematics and science as appropriate to the
discipline
h. Critical Thinking – ability to conceptualize, analyze, synthesize and evaluate data to provide
solutions to technical problems
Outcome Measures: Throughout the program we will complete a series of activities, including
instruments such as surveys, to determine the overall effectiveness of the outcomes covered in
the program.
Program Competencies: A series of measurable activities that demonstrate “how” students are
achieving the desired outcomes.

Competency Measures: Throughout the program ATMAE will conduct a series of activities
used to determine if we have achieved a competency such as written tests, demonstrations &
observations, case studies & discussion groups, exemplars, peer reviews, self-assessments,
presentations, mock events and monitors.
Self Study:
ATMAE wants your input and/or participation in the self-study of your program. We will be
conducting surveys and may be asking for your help in the coming weeks to get your input for
the self-study.
