Environmental deterioration has emerged as a serious issue in the world.

These
environmental problems may increase greatly, mainly due to global negative activities or lack of
environmental legislations in countries rather than individual activity. This study will utilize
quantitative research approach specifically descriptive design in gathering necessary information
in to able to know the study on environmental knowledge, attitude and behavior among college
students at Northwestern Mindanao State College. Based on the survey majority (55%) of the
respondents are male and (45%) are female which states that most of the random students that
responds the survey questionnaires was most likely male than females. When it comes to age
range, most (75%) of them are ranges from 20 to 23 years old. And based on the highest
respondents in the department majority (32%) comes from the BET- Electrical Engineering
Technology. The researchers determined the Student’s Attitude towards the Environment
(SATE). The highest mean among all of them is “I concerned about problems affecting the
current environment in the world” it has a mean of 5.00. The researchers determined the
Student’s Behavior towards the Environment (SBTE). The highest mean among all of them is “I
feel happy when I see people recycle used bottles, cans, and papers” it has a mean of 4.24. The
overall analysis of the researchers is that the respondents in the 4th year students all agree on the
student’s attitude towards the environment and student’s behavior towards the environment. It
was concluded that fourth year college students at Northwestern Mindanao State College of
Science and Technology had a high level of environmental knowledge.
