1. Title: URINE AND COCONUT WATER AS FERTILIZER; ITS EFFECT

ON THE PERFORMANCE OF LOVELY FAIRY

Authors:

RHEA DELA CRUZ

MARY JOY IMPERIAL
LECIEL SUMULAT
RACHEL TASARRA

Summary of the Study and Findings:

The study determined the growth performance of Urine and

Coconut water in terms of: Plant Height, Number of leaves, Number of
branches and Number of Flowers.
This study tests the hypothesis: There are no significant differences
on the performance of Lovely Fairy (Rosa polyantha sp.) between
treatments with urine, coconut water and tap water.
The findings of the study in terms of Plant height, performance of
Lovely Fairy (Rosa polyantha sp.) revealed that there are no significant
differences on the performance of rose using different treatments in terms
of plant height. This could mean that applying with urine, coconut water
and tap water had the same effect on the rose plant. In terms of number
of leaves, more leaves were observed on rose plant treated with urine than
coconut water because urine is composed of primary micro-mineral
nutrients which is necessary for plant growth.
In terms of number of branches there were more branches observed
on rose plant treated by urine and coconut water than tap water. In terms
of number of flowers, all treatments had the same effect.
Based on the findings of the study the following conclusions were
drawn.Coconut water, gave highest mean in terms of plant height
and number of flowers. While urine gave the highest number of
leaves and the coconut water and urine had the same highest mean
in terms of number of branches. They are significant differences
among the treatments in terms of number of leaves and number of
branches. Urine is more effective in terms of number of leaves while
coconut water is best for number of branches. Both urine and
coconut water can be used in observing the growth performance of
Lovely Fairy (Rosa polyantha sp.) specifically in terms of number of
leaves and branches.

initiation on first day than mungbean and palay substrate. Corn grain media recorded to
have the highest number of fully ramified treatment bags having 10 out of 15 bags were
recorded with a 66.67 percentage of fully ramified substrates, while mungbean has 5
ramified spawn substrate having 33.33 percent of fully ramified substrates and the least
among the three treatment is the palay which has only 3 ramified spawn substrate
equivalent to 20 percent.
