The Associate degree in Business & Commerce

Program Duration 2 years (4 Semesters)
The Associate Degree of Business and Commerce is the perfect way to start your degree in
business at university. An Associate Degree is a qualification in its own right, but it is also a
pathway to a Bachelor degree. This means that the 22 courses that you study can count towards a
Bachelor degree.
Essential business knowledge
You will complete eight core courses and then choose from an array of business and commerce
courses which interest you. Course options include Advertising, Business Law, Human Resource
Management, e-Commerce, Finance, and Politics and International Relations.
It is best to have a chat to our Student Relationship Officers before finalising your decision on
courses. If you are considering continuing onto a Bachelor degree, your choice of courses may
have an impact later.
Further study
After completing the Associate Degree of Business and Commerce, you can potentially go on to
study a Bachelor of Business Management, Accounting & Finance; Islamic Finance, Banking,
HRM; Supply Chain; tourism, small business management, international business and Commerce;
Eligibility Criteria
Candidates with intermediate, preferably FA/FSc/I.Com and A-level, with at-least second division
are required to pass the entry test and interview conducted by the University.

In Pakistan, University of Gujrat and Institute of Business Administration, Sukkur have

launched an Associate Degree programmes in 2010 in the following disciplines:-
