The document outlines different IFR points and runways for departures, defines aviation measurement units like nautical miles and knots, describes the different segments of a traffic circuit, explains IFR and VFR vertical separation requirements, lists radio frequencies, categorizes aircraft by wake turbulence, and provides the phraseology for cancelling an IFR flight and changing to VFR.

- Nautical Mile: Is the measurement unit of distance
in aviation. o 1NM = 1852M - KNOT: Is the measurement unit of speed in aviation. o 1KNOT= 51CM/SEC - (8,9) Can’t be included in squawk codes.
TRAFFIC CIRCUIT
Upwind
Cross wind Final
RUNWAY Base Leg
Down Wind
Traffic circuit contains:
o UP WIND o CROSS WIND o DOWN WIND o BASE LEG o FINAL
UP WIND: When the A/C is moving directly and crossing the
runway is upwind. CROSS WIND: When the A/C is turning from up wind is cross wind. DOWN WIND: When the A/C turned from upwind, cross wind and moving directly to base leg is down wind. BASE LEG: When the A/C is turning from downwind to final is base leg. FINAL: When the A/C reaches in final and approaches to land is final.
- IFR VERTICAL SEPARATION: 1000 FT
- VFR VERTICAL SEPARATION: 500 FT
1- If the IFR A/C was in the level less than 29000FT, so
it should maintain 1000FT Vertical Separation. 2- Or if the IFR A/C was in a level more than: 29000-36000FT so it should maintain 2000FT VERTICAL SEPARATION.
