often like a roller-coaster with its highs and lows, and the only way out is death”. This piece is a surreal expression of pain in
artform for people weighed down by the pressures of living. Going through life alone really fells like a burden and no one
deserves that kind of pressure.

While true Justice might never be served for lives lost at the Lekki Tollgate, Lagos Nigeria on 20-10-20, the brave protesters
in men and women would never be forgotten for standing up to an unjust and wicked system. This piece is an expression of
my pain as an artist and most importantly as a human being. This is also a celebration of these heroes whose efforts would
never be in vain.
This work can be displayed on TV Screens Set, LED Screens and Projected Boards. 17

center comprising of 5 no. luxury cinemas, 20 – key
boutique hotel, restaurant, bars, lounges, swimming pool
and multipurpose hall.

The design is a bespoke building with the design concept

inspiration drawn from the green environment starting
from the leafy shape of the curtain wall coupled with the
intentional use of green tinted glass synonymous with
most plant species to the use of wood grain imprinted
Aluminum composite panels which symbolizes the back
of a tree.

The users of the building are welcomed through a

proprietary tree -like entrance canopy made from steel
and shaped in manners reminiscent of tree trunks and
branches. The interiors of the hostel and entertainment
building are laced with African elements but applied in a
Scandinavian themed style. All these various elements
came together to make for an interesting architectural
masterpiece.It was Completed in 2019

AN ARCHITECTURAL RESPONSE TO A CINEMATIC APOCALYPSE
PLOT
The year is 2085,the city of lagos has become a shadow of
itself surviving series of heat waves, tremors and flood. now
overridden by the full effects of global warming, the city also
ranks amongst the top 20 cities in the world emitting the
most greenhouse gases with temperatures soaring up to 120
degrees in some locations

The problems of the lagos metropolis became compounded

as the city was hit by a series of asteroids.destruction and
chaos followed coupled with the displacement of 15% of
lagosians from their homes
the same catastrophe was recorded in other cities around
the world causing global panic and disarray.
Months later in what can be regarded as the post apocalyptic
scene, the world is filled with rocks now covered with

DESIGN CONCEPT

To manage the chaos and the effects of the catastrophe, the post
apocalyptic scene of lagos requires flexible architecture and design
to cater to the needs of the affected citizens. particularly
architecture that reduces its environmental impact, provides
healthcare as well as adaptable residential options for the displaced.

scarce resources, the less energy a building requires, the better.
