located high in the Andes mountains in Peru, above the valley of the Urabamba River. It was built in the 15th century

and then abandoned, and is famous for its sophisticated dry stone walls that combine huge blocks without the use of a

mortar, fascinating buildings that relate to astronomical alignments and its panoramic views. Machu Picchu is
Cusco: The city of Cusco, former capital of the Inca Empire, is a historical treasure nestled in the Peruvian Andes. Its

Peruvian Gastronomy: "Peruvian gastronomy is recognized worldwide for its diversity and exquisiteness. Its unique

dishes that you cannot miss are ceviche, ají de gallina and guinea pig. Ceviche is one of the most popular and
refreshing dishes in Peruvian cuisine. It is prepared with fish marinated in lemon juice, accompanied by red onion, ají
limo, cilantro and sweet potato. It is an explosion of fresh and citrus flavors that will delight your palate. Ají de gallina
is another iconic dish of Peruvian gastronomy. It is made with shredded chicken in a delicious sauce of yellow chili,
milk, soaked bread and walnuts. It is served with rice and potatoes, and its mild flavor. Cuy is a unique option.
Although it may be surprising to some, guinea pig is a tender and tasty meat. It is cooked in the oven or grilled and
served with potatoes and traditional sauces. It is a highly appreciated dish in the Andean region of Peru.
