As part of the Instructional Message Design (Ed Tech 506) Class, personally created a unit of instruction which included development of core curriculum and nine (9) animated or interactive visuals to support specific lessons and activities. Employed theoretical lessons learned in research-based methods, visuals, concepts, processes, principles, memory load and Near/Far Transfer, etc. Graded A. Developed a Podcasting for Educators Workshop as part of the Instructional Design Class. Implemented research-based methods to provide best quality education for learners. Developed and utilized an online survey to analyze learner needs, and assess the general characteristics of online learners. Interviewed the technology coordinator, teachers, and administration to assimilate learning context essentials. Based on research findings, implemented the ASSURE model for learning to develop a workshop that focused on the learners needs. During the Evaluation For Educators course, evaluated a project-tracking system that was implemented for a Real Estate Management group. Created surveys and conducted interviews to assess before and after posture of the graphics department. Analyzed quantitative and qualitative data to arrive at an objective conclusion of overall project tracking system performance.

WAVY TV 10 / FOX TV 43 - Portsmouth, Virginia Digital Media Manager (5/11-Present) Integral member of the technical support staff for the regions most popular local news stations as second in charge of a team of 10 media specialists reporting to the Digital Director. Provide oversight, guidance and quality assurance in the digital design, development and maintenance of the organizations two primary websites (wavy.com & fox43tv.com), serving an average of 5-15 million page views monthly. Manage websites using CMS and front-end web design technologies and methodologies to include XHTML, CSS, Dreamweaver, Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, Fireworks and Flash. Develop special pages, graphics, and projects for web and mobile platforms. Also collaborate with sales department to develop new products to increase traffic and sales. Regularly compile and analyze web metrics and analytics to adjust offerings for optimal performance and results. Provide technical support to staff as needed. Worked as part of the team which delivered online content during Hurricane Irene, three days of which experienced over eight million page views and more than half a million unique visitors.
