Activity 1 – online discussion on soul making ,its characteristics and craft in art.

1. What is art in craft

Art is a craft. We can see how the medium gain an importance role in presenting arts, the arts
either can just be observed as the collection of its admirers or as a work that can be useful and serve its
obvious practical needs to others and it also have an aesthetic value. It is a craft of expression-of
someone's feelings or thoughts-and it can take many forms depending on a chosen medium.

2. What is the difference between art in craft and craft in art?

Craft does not contain art, but art contains craft. Engines, sutures that help close a hole,
Christmas tree ornaments, wedding cakes, memorable sonnets and melodies, machines that save or
protect life the list is endless are all examples of the beautiful, intricate, and significant things that craft
produces. Art creates real objects that may be stunning, complex or simple, created in or outside of the
classroom, but they are never primarily ornamental.

3. How do people produce art and craft objects?


They use a variety of methods such as painting, sculpting, or illustration and an
assortment of materials, including oils, watercolors, acrylics, pastels, pencils, pen and ink,
plaster, clay, and computers. Craft can also refer to how someone practices a trade, whether an
artisan, actor, playwright, or accountant.

ASSESSMENT TASK
Soul-making is personal development which enables people to sustain themselves as engaged
activists, leaders, artists, healers and entrepreneurs. It is about recognizing the wider contexts
we find ourselves in, developing our broader ‘selves’ in ways that are creative and appropriate,
and doing things that make a difference. Soul-making is about the artist (or leader or healer or
entrenour) as activist.

I'm the kind of person who aspires to success in the future and is driven to achieve it. I
don't mind taking a chance. I establish daily routines and goals, and I constantly find inspiration
to perform at my highest level. I set up simple routines and a life. I want to keep things simple
and am well-organized. I adore reading articles on self-improvement that can make me a better
version of myself. I'm the type of person who enjoys learning new things every day. I enjoy
reading books, picking up new languages, and trying to establish routines that will be very
beneficial to me. I also adore spending time by myself. I can concentrate and think clearly
throughout this part. I

When I am down to the core of me, who is there?
I often open up to my close sister, because I know she can relate better to what problem
I'm having. She is always there for me, supporting and suggesting to me. She is the best advisor;
I have got in my life. She never asks to do any bad thing. She spends her time with me.
