QC MECHANICAL SUPERVISOR

Responsibilities:

 All quality control procedure, inspection as per Clients typical inspection

plan.
 Follow Preparation of all documents related from start to close out the job
Including from Material Receiving, fabrication, installation, testing & As
Built as per Applicable Standards.
 Inspection & Preparing of daily welding reports (DWR) and all related
Documents.
 Site verifications and coordinate with Engineering Department for Red
Mark Drawing as per site conditions. Supervising and monitoring for piping
spool structural steel during fabrication and on-site installation.
 Monitor the construction activities and carry out internal inspections prior
to request external inspections with client.
 Ensure the welding machines, welding ovens are calibrated and maintain
calibration record to follow the project specifications.
 Maintain the record of Inspections conducted during welding like visual
inspection, fit up inspection NDT report, DP & MPI inspection report in
order to prepare and submit to client on weekly or monthly basis.
 Prepare Hydro test package compiling the required documents as per the
prelisted and defined packages ensuring all documents are arranged
including vital documents like manifold approval, welded joints NDT-test
reports line checking approval, water test reports.
 Reviewing the final test packs of visual and Hydro test and modify as
Per requirements.
 Review and submit the mainline welding procedure, tie-in procedure and
repair procedure for approval in PID.
 Worked above 36”dia with internal and external clamp.
 Checking of fit-up and co-ordinates of spool joints in erection work as per

 standard support specifications & Checking 100% root completed in
internal clamp and 50% in external clamp.

material check, qualifications and calibrations of welding equipment’s.
 Closely Monitor the performance of welders, repair of welds, analyses the
causes and initiate preventive and corrective actions.
  Conducting tool box meetings for welders for safety as well as
 quality concepts,
 Co-ordination with other departments so as to finish the job on time such
as(E&I, STRUCTURE, & CIVIL)
 Witness Inspection of incoming Electrodes, filler wires & Outgoing material
with MTC, LOT number monitoring of material traceability.
 Visual inspection of consumables by verifying MTC & lot number.
 Daily basis monitoring the Conditioning, Storage of electrodes drying and
re drying.
 Ensure the welding machines, welding ovens are calibrated and maintain

etc. and engineering materials, their weld ability, precautions to be taken
during welding for alloys, stainless steel and high alloys.
